Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a working relationship between me and the client to address specific symptoms or areas for personal growth. Common reasons for seeking individual therapy include depression, anxiety, trauma-related distress, and relationship issues. I recommend we begin with a 15-20 minute phone conversation to help me learn about you and the issues you would like to address. This conversation will help both of us to determine if we could be a good fit for working together.

Couples & Family Therapy

I offer therapy for couples experiencing distress, or who are seeking to increase emotional intimacy. My approach to couples therapy is to take a balanced approach to everyone's concerns (i.e., I do not take "sides" with one member of the couple). I enjoy treating heterosexual, gay and lesbian couples, and couples including transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, and people in polyamorous relationships.

I also practice family therapy with adults (over age 18). I see parents and adult children, adult siblings, etc to help untangle issues in which the family has gotten “stuck” together. I approach family therapy from an integrated systems approach in which each person will be supported to adjust to changes in the system.

SEx Therapy

Sexuality and sexual health are integral to quality of life. When a person is experiencing sexual issues, it can create a cascade of negativity in other areas of their life, and similarly a healthy sexual life can bring a person great joy. Common sexual concerns for women include low sexual desire, issues with arousal, orgasm difficulties, and sexual pain concerns including dyspareunia, vulvodynia, and vaginismus. Common sexual concerns for men include low desire, erectile dysfunction, and premature or delayed ejaculation. I also see transgender and non-binary individuals for sexual health concerns. Sexual issues can be approached in individual or couples therapy.
